A Postpartum Doula is:

  • Present to nurture the birthing individual after childbirth, and provide help and support to you and your family in the first weeks to months after birth.

  • Present to help you with breast/chest/bottle feeding support and assistance, meal preparation and/or planning, and offer rest for the birthing individual.

  •  Ready to provide emotional support and companionship; as well as encouragement when you might be feeling overwhelmed.

  • Able to listen in a non-judgmental and guiding manner and way.

  • Able to empower you to learn and grow on your continued journey as a parent, be this your first or newest addition to your family.

  • Often the same doula who was present for and with you, as your birth doula to continue to provide support and services to you and your family.
